Shoot Out Rules

Ondo Performance Calculators

  1. Handicap – (if you are running 10:00 – Time your opponent is running 9:50 – Time your lights will activate :50 sooner)

  2. Three Rounds of Racing (Just don't race same opponent twice)
  3. Bracket Win is determined by:-
  4. •  Racer with most wins

    •  If more than 0ne (1) racer has 3 wins. The racer closest to their Dial-in on their last winning run, is the winner

    •  By – Runs – This is a Win – In all rounds you must run as close to Dial-In as possible. Remember closest to Dial-In on their last winning run wins.

  5. Dual Break-outs – If you win your last winning race by dual-break-out. This is classed as a win. However....

  6. When determining overall Bracket Winner – we are racing you against
others with as many wins as you, theoretically on paper.

  7. If they are on + (plus) Side and you are on – (minus) Side, of your dial in.
    They win.
  8. This is the same result if you had raced down the strip.

  9. Please think about this.

Gear Ratio

This calculation assumes the car's transmission is in drive or 1:1 ratio, no overdrive. For Overdrive cars multiply the overdrive ratio times the rear and gear ratio. Example a 700R4 transmission has an overdrive ratio 0.7:1. For a 4.11 rear end multiply 4.11 x 0.7 = 2.877. Enter 2.877 as the number for the gear ratio to calculate speeds in overdrive.

Calculate Rear End Gear Ratio
Enter the tire diameter in inches, rpm's of the motor at a certain speed as indicated by your speedometer in mph. This calculation assumes the car's transmission is in drive or 1:1 ratio, no overdrive.
